Happy Thanksgiving From Heifer International

At Heifer International, we're reminded every day how much we have to be thankful for. Between our donors who give so generously and our project participants who teach us so much about gratitude, we're a pretty lucky bunch.

On this day of giving thanks, we thought we'd talk to a few of our coworkers to hear what they're thankful for this year. It shouldn't come as a big surprise, but most of us are thankful for a job that allows us to help others. Many others said they were thankful for family. Here are just a few of the responses we received.

Adassa Romilus said, "I am Thankful for health, life in general. I am Thankful for my children which are true blessings to me. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives. I am finally grateful for being an actor in the hunger- and poverty-ending process."

"I am thankful for the work of Heifer International and being apart of a team that succeeds in helping others daily. I am excited to be apart of the team. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone," said Tamira Winbish.

Ruth Arnold shared this lovely sentiment: "I am thankful for the beautiful people that love me and that I get the privilege of loving back."

Michael Johnson told us, "I am thankful for my family and friends, for picking me up when times are tough, and just being there. I don’t have many members in my circle but the ones I do have I wouldn’t change them for anything. I am thankful for the opportunities that come into my life, taking me places and granting me experiences that I would have never dreamed of.I am thankful for my pets, for some reason they show me unconditional love, and I do not understand it, but I could not be more grateful. There is much more to be thankful for."

Hear hear, Michael. There is so much to be thankful for.

From all of us at Heifer International, thank you for your support of our work.

Happy Thanksgiving.
