LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Feb. 8, 2013) The QBE North America Foundation recently made a generous donation to Heifer International for the second consecutive year. Carolyn Bartholdson, chief human resources officer at QBE presented the $50,000 check to Paul Yeghiayan, a major gifts officer for Heifer International.
"On behalf of Heifer International, I thank QBE and its employees for this second generous grant to our organization, said Cindy Jones-Nyland, Executive Vice President, Marketing & Resource Development. Through your support, we are working to help families in our communities, many of whom live in areas that are at the greatest risk of natural disasters, to better prepare for and recover from the effects of these devastating events. Without your help, this work would not be possible.
According to their website, the QBE Foundation was established in 2011 to reflect the companys involvement, commitment and investment in communities where we do business, and where our employees live and work. The foundation funds charities, nominating by their employees, dedicated to helping people live more independently, successfully and productively.
