Heifer International Celebrates Fathers Across the Globe this Father’s Day

Show Your Dad the Positive Example He’s Set and Help Another Father Lift His Family Out of Poverty

This Father’s Day, Heifer International is celebrating fathers across the globe who work hard to provide for their families in the face of tremendous difficulties and seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

Many of us are lucky enough to have father figures who provided for our families and us. However, too many fathers around the world work all day only to earn a meager income that can’t provide even basic necessities. They struggle to feed their children good, nutritious meals. That’s where Heifer International comes in.

Augustin Njita, a father in Cameroon  struggled for years. But when he, started working with a Heifer project, his life was changed. “The way we were living was so difficult…life was so tough to us…[our children] were about to go to school, and their needs were bringing some serious worries,” he says. “Thank God that when we engaged with [Heifer], that’s where there was a miracle...”

This Father’s Day, show the dad in your life how much of a positive example he’s set. A gift through Heifer International will make him smile because it will lift a less fortunate family out of poverty. Instead of ties or golf clubs, choose between goats, water buffalo or ducks. These animals and the training in their care can help a father lift his family out of poverty, along with his entire community.
